Stay Home, Stay healthy, stay connected

Hey Church,

I wanted to take a moment to update everyone on all the recent guidelines that have been given by the Governor's office, as well as let you know what New Life's Plan of Action is.

First, last week, the Governor gave some clarification for churches who are in Phase 1 and Phase 2. A link to that information can be found here. They indicate that churches who comply with all the requirements can hold outdoor services of up to 100 people during Phase 1, and indoor services of up to 50 people during Phase 2.

Second, on Friday, the Governor loosened the restrictions for counties, making it easier to move from Phase 1 to Phase 2. Currently, Pierce county is in Phase 1, but based on the criteria, it appears that Pierce County will be moving to Phase 2 in the next few weeks.

So what does that mean for New Life? We've decided that Sunday, June 7th, from 6-7pm, we will be hosting our first public service since the end of March! We will have an outdoor evening Prayer and Worship service on the field at the church property. Per the direction of the governor we will be requiring everyone who attends to wear a mask and to maintain social distancing. We will have masks onsite for those that either don't have a mask or forget theirs.

Once Pierce County moves to Phase 2, we will be hosting modified services in our building Sunday mornings at 10:30am. We will again require those who choose to attend to wear masks, as well as comply with the other requirements from our state and local government. These services will be a great time we can get together and worship, but they will look much different from what we are used to, so we can comply with regulations and keep our doors open during this unprecedented time.

We will continue to live stream our services online so those who choose to stay at home can worship along with us.

In order for us to have enough time to make sure we are in compliance, the earliest New Life will meet together on a Sunday morning is June 14th. So even if Pierce County moves to Phase 2 before the 14th, we will still have a closed campus and will stream our services. Once we have a confirmed date of Phase 2 we will send out more information on the modifications so we can be prepared.

One of the requirements is that we have a COVID Safety Supervisor. I've asked Larry Lewien to be the Safety Supervisor for New Life. He is going to work diligently over the next couple of weeks designing a plan for New Life's opening and training our staff and volunteers. Should you have any questions, he can be reached at larry@newlife4s.com

Real PEople

At New Life Church you’ll find real people. We’re all on this journey together, experiencing God’s grace and truth in and through relationship. No membership, no dress code, no experience necessary. We’re all in different stages of this life with God. We’re all ages, all walks of life. We want to welcome anyone who walks through our doors. Our desire is to include, not exclude. To give time for healing and discovery, not rushing you ahead of where you are. So when you come through our doors you’ll be welcomed in right where you’re at, we already consider you family. Welcome.

REAL relationships

At New Life we’re all about community. Living life together as we walk in real relationship that is lived out in a genuine authentic grace-based community. What does that look like? Love, Trust, Truth, Grace, Relationship, Community, Laughter, Fun, Safety, Life-Application, Fellowship, Teaching, and Worship...God’s life in us. We are intentional about learning and trusting in who God says we are in Him, and discovering His expression of love through us for the benefit of others.

real life

The result of living our lives as real people and in real relationship is experiencing real life together….God’s life lived out in and through us that extends to the communities around us. Finding real life through Jesus and sharing that life with others. This means going beyond our doors and moving in and amongst our neighborhoods, city, nation, and world to be an outpouring of the love and grace we experience in Jesus.
